How to fix Tarnished Fine Silver from The Accidental Housewife

What you need: 

• Ketchup 

• Oblong Pyrex pan large enough to hold and submerge items (ie serving pieces, Jewelry, etc) 

• Clean towels 

How to clean:  

• Put a few drops of ketchup on a towel and gently rub tarnished silver. 

• Use a soft toothbrush (preferably not the one you used this morning!) to clean the crevices. 

• For heavily tarnished items wipe first with a damp cloth and then submerge in ketchup filled Pyrex pan. 

• Let sit for 15-30 minutes. 

• Wipe off excess 

• Rinse in warm water and pat dry with clean cloth. 

• FYI: Results will vary depending upon the purity of silver. Fine silver yields best results. This tip works on pure copper pennies too!
